Thermal Combustion Technology

With the help of CSS Energy Solutions and our partners, we offer the most up to date thermal technologies for processing SRF/RDF/PEF and Biomass into valuable electricity, steam and heat.

These technologies include vibrating, travelling and moving grate combustion, as well as ring and underfeed furnaces for low to mid temperature combustion.

Gasification & Plasma Gasification Technology

The gasification process is layered by two different processes, that can be separated by heat temperature treatment ranges.

Gasification is the treatment of solid waste/refuse at a temperature range of between 700 -1400 degrees C, to generate a low energy syngas that is mixed with nitrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Using this gas to combust generators to produce power is the basis of the gasification power plant process. The gasification process produces a small percentage residue ash that can be refined or alternatively landfilled.

Plasma Gasification is the treatment of solid waste/refuse at a high temperature from 3000 – 8000 degrees C (depending on the technology) to produce a high energy efficient Syngas that is mixed with nitrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Using this gas to combust generators to produce power, while turning the inorganic materials left from the process into inert materials such as glass that is non-hazardous and can be reused in many building applications, addressing any by-product concerns.
