Waste to Energy

Waste to Energy

Waste to Energy (WtE) or Energy from Waste (EfW) are broad terms referring to any process which creates energy from a waste source.

As we work towards a clean energy future, utilising waste as a resource has huge potential to assist in creating sustainable renewable energy while significantly reducing carbon emissions.

It is widely agreed that to minimise waste by design, recycling and reuse is the best way to protect our natural resources and environment.

Waste to Energy solutions do not replace waste minimisation in importance and strategy, however are a further measure to ensure we are utilising resources already spent to their maximum capacity.

CSS Energy Solutions, with our technology partners, offer Processing Plants for SRF/RDF/PEF and Biomass, as well as Power Generation Plants for Electricity and Cogeneration (Electricity and Steam).

Power plants ranging from 500kW up to 50MW are designed, funded, engineered, constructed and commissioned. These facilities use varying types of combustion technologies, dependent on fuel types and size, and can process clean Agricultural materials, general Biomass generated from wood waste, Solid Recovered Fuels/Refuse Derived Fuels/Processed Engineered Fuel (from general waste) and problematic and hazardous materials with high calorific values, that are difficult to handle.
